Podcasts
Podcasting is the delivery
of audio programs and
shows to PCs and portable
media devices –
the spoken word version
of mp3 files. These
audio files are posted
online for others to
download and play as
they like. Instead
of having to go to
a site to see if there
are new files listeners
can subscribe using
an aggregator. This
aggregator is an easy
to use and freely available
piece of software that
helps manage your subscriptions.
These audio files can
be downloaded to a
PC and played or they
can be taken away on
mp3 players to listen
to as you travel around.
This makes this kind
of provision very flexible
indeed. We value hearing
the voices and concerns
of those interested
or involved with countries
and regions in need.
TrainersPod© seeks
to make innovative
but accessible provision
in the fields of education,
business and healthcare.
Our work in each of
these fields is aimed
at the support of different
aspects of emerging
economies to achieve
a widespread contribution
to overall development
in these countries.
One way we aim to deliver
this is via the use
of podcasting.
We
will be producing regular
podcasts which will
include interviews
recorded with members
of the community. Typically
we will run an interview
of an expert in the
field and post the
audio for you to download
to say iTunes. We also
welcome any audio files
you would be willing
to share and that you
also think may be useful
or interesting to others
in similar contexts.
Our podcast will seek
to be instructional,
interesting and informative.
We will have a selection
of prestigious international
experts in their respective
fields of pedagogy,
e-learning, e-training,
e-business, e-healthcare
and technology to contribute
to what we hope will
be a very enlightening
and mutually beneficial
discussion.
Through the podcasts,
we will also act as
a guide to establishing
cost-effective distributed
learning solutions
and training environments
for the various participants
in education, business
or health-care.
Our aim is always to
support and model innovative
methods such as podcasting
that are accessible
to as many people as
possible. Our goal
is to share this knowledge
and help regions in
need through the services
provided at this site.
